The History Of Butterfly Red Hill
For many years, the gardens, farmhouse and gallery have been a lasting presence in the Red Hill community. In 2015, current owners Claire and Andrew Russo gave it the TLC it deserved and lovingly restored the buildings and their grounds.
That means the Butterfly wedding photographer and the Butterfly wedding videographer you chose (we can do that!) has a stunning backdrop for your photos and long lasting memories. Today, Butterfly Red Hill is a popular destination for lots of events, and those that we are most interested in – weddings.
Why Should You Consider It?
Set among established gardens, fruit trees and even olive gardens, Butterfly Red Hill may just be one of the most bespoke outdoor wedding venues on the Mornington Peninsula. If you’re looking for a venue that expresses how unique your love story is, the Butterfly weddings held here are in a class of their own. Whether you’re looking for something traditional and authentic, quirky and unique, or just romantic, they’ve got a bespoke package for you.
Aesthetic & Vibes
The weathered wood, corrugated iron and lush forest areas make it the perfect choice for a bohemian-style wedding – or perhaps if you’re just looking to get back to the basics. That said, depending on which package you go for, you can have all the lavish luxuries you could dream of. That means things like the butterfly caravan bar, vintage boho chairs, giant light-up love letters and the use of a 1968 barracuda for photos.
Lots of these come as standard in the Luxe and premium packages, but you’ll be charged as an add-on if you’re on one of the others. Get in contact with them to discuss your options. Because of all these options at the butterfly, wedding photography is a wickedly fun experience for everyone!
Indoor & Outdoor Options
The main pull of this venue has to be its outdoor space and quirky feel. However, if the weather takes a turn for the worse, the owners of the venue will have you covered with a plan B. They have 3 indoor gallery spaces that can work perfectly for both ceremony and reception. Also included with any package is on-site parking for 30 cars, and exclusive access to the property including the farmhouse, gardens, lawns and deck with incredible views.
Accommodation
Depending on your wedding package, you can likely expect at least one night on-site in the farmhouse. Better still, you’ve got the option – and they’ve got the space – to invite up to 8 additional guests from your wedding party. Some of the packages even include the option to use the onsite caravan as an extra room – how cool! Of course, they can recommend some great nearby places to stay if you need extra space.
At the Butterfly, wedding videography and photography are something we would love to help you with to realise your dream wedding day vision. Send me a message and let’s do this!
