That's the moment I've been waiting for all day.
How I work
I'm not there to direct you, pose you, or build a magazine spread. I'm there to move through your day quietly — watching, waiting, catching the moments that are actually happening. The look your dad gives you when he thinks nobody's watching. The way your best friend laughs during your vows. Those ten minutes after the ceremony when everyone finally exhales. That's what I'm there for.

How I Work
Documentary by nature. I capture what unfolds — the glances, the in-betweens, the unscripted. While you’re completely present in your day, I’m making sure none of it disappears.
LEARN MOREReal moments, shaped into story. Documentary filmmaking with narrative at its core — so you can hear the laughs, the vows, the sound of that room.
LEARN MOREPrint your photos while they feel ordinary. Because one day they won’t be — and by then it’s too late to wish you had.
LEARN MOREThe Accumulation
The ones nobody posed for. The ones that happened in between everything else. These are the ones you'll keep coming back to.

Where I Work
The light at Jackalope at 5pm. The wind off Bass Strait at Portsea. The way the vines frame a couple at Yering Station at golden hour. Wherever your day is, I’ve likely been there — which means on the day itself, I’m not figuring it out.

Before I was a photographer
I’ve worked emergency rooms and ICUs. I’ve been in situations where everything is happening at once and the only option is to stay calm, read the room, and focus on what matters most. Turns out that’s exactly what wedding photography requires. There’s something else. I have aphantasia — I can’t visualise mental images. I cannot picture my wife’s face. I cannot picture my daughter’s face. Which means photographs aren’t decoration to me. They’re how I see the people I love. That’s not a sad thing. It’s just the reason this work means what it does to me.

“We didn’t even notice him most of the day. And then we saw the photos.”
★★★★★
"Brendan blended into the day seamlessly, yet somehow managed to be everywhere at exactly the right moment. I barely noticed his presence during the ceremony so we could stay fully immersed. The images he delivered are beyond anything we imagined — so natural, artistic, and full of life."

"Imagine a friend who makes you feel calm and relaxed, someone you can be completely yourself around. Imagine this friend is also extremely talented at photography. This is what it’s like to have Brendan as your photographer — and if Brendan is taking your photos, you are extremely lucky."

"His photos transport us back to the moment and we can feel how we felt. He just seemed to float around and was there for all the moments, but in a non-intrusive way. We would definitely recommend Brendan to anyone that wants beautifully captured photos that truly reflect your day."
