About The Old Church Red Hill Wedding Venue
If there ever was a picture-perfect backdrop for an intimate, fairytale-like wedding venue, The Old Church Red Hill is it. Originally built in 1911, this 111-year-old (and counting!) building is nestled in a tranquil setting, and is ready to play host to your wedding ceremony. As The Old Church Red Hill wedding videographer, I love places that have so much character. While it has been renovated, the character and traditional charm of the building remain very much intact.
Why Should You Consider It?
If you’re looking for a ceremony-only wedding venue that oozes charm, has incredible views, and feels intimate throughout, The Old Church Red Hill is well worth considering. Though the space itself may be on the smaller side, there’s no limit to the amount of customisation that can take place to make it unique to you and your vision.
The Old Church Red Hill also makes my list of top wedding venues on the Mornington Peninsula so you know it's good!
Aesthetic And Vibes
When talking about The Old Church Red Hill, wedding videography is absolutely stunning thanks to its aesthetic. Rustic, charming and full of character are how I would describe this location.
As we touched on before, the space has been renovated but only in a way that is authentic to the history of the building. That renovation has managed to bring the outside in with the addition of 2.6m high and 4.8m wide windows. This allows guests of The Old Church Red Hill weddings to appreciate the beauty of the Mornington Peninsula while still being within an intimate setting.
Indoor And Outdoor Options
While this is one of the smaller venues on the Peninsula, it still has both an indoor and an outdoor ceremony location. Both of these have a maximum of 80 people, and the surrounding bush garden can be used if you’d prefer a slightly more informal garden wedding, or just if you’d prefer to be outside. Either choice is a great one, and both will make The Old Church Red Hill wedding photography look incredible!
Accommodation
Though The Old Church Red Hill is a ceremony-only venue, they still offer a fantastic accommodation option for those who need it. With space for 8 guests, The Sunday School Red Hill gives you the opportunity to take things a little slower, and feel at one with the surrounding area both before, and after your big day.
Accommodation costs $300 per couple or $500 per night if there are more of you.
Packages
If you’ve got up to 14 guests, it will only cost $1900 for the ceremony. Any more and you’ll pay $3000 if you want an indoor wedding and $3200 if you want an outdoor wedding.
Each package includes various things such as 1 initial free viewing, access to setup the day before, use of the venue space for 2 hours on the day, speakers, chairs, fairy lights, tables and other things you’d need for your day to go off without a hitch! They also offer a bar service for $500 for the first hour ($300 after).
The Old Church Red Hill is bursting with character and a great choice for anyone considering separate ceremony and reception locations.
