Emily & Billy's Enchanting Wedding at Dromana Estate
Talk to your hubby or wifey to-be and go with your gut on what you guys want. Don't let others cloud your judgement on what 'you should do', it's your day!
Emily and Billy's enchanting wedding at Dromana Estate was a dreamy affair filled with love, laughter, and lots of pastel colours. Having had the privilege of capturing their big day, I can definitely say that this couple and their guests surely know how to throw a party.
Their heartfelt ceremony took place out the front of the stables at Dromana Estate, with the modern rustic theme and a beautiful mix of whites and pops of colour setting the scene credited to florist Millicent Green. The couple bid their I Dos in a ceremony by Emma Tomlinson and walked the aisle side by side as officially husband and wife, Billy sporting a suit from Ferrari Formalwear & Bridal and Emily beaming in her Luv Bridal Australia white wedding dress with hair & makeup from Bekka Collective. Soon after the hugs and high fives, their guests made their way to the reception inside the stables at Dromana Estate.
When asked about what they were most looking forward to on the day, Emily and Billy said that they couldn't wait to have all of their favourite people in one room together, dancing on the dance floor most of the night and just being present and soaking it all in. Their vision was truly realised with their energetic bridal entrance and lovely first dance as a couple, speeches that called for laughs from everyone, and great food and drinks which set the tone for the rest of the fun-filled night.
Their love story started with a the "right" swipe and a nervous first date at the fish and chip shop down Main Street Mornington. Emily made the first move, and three weeks later, they made it official.
As for the engagement story, I found out it was a funny one as it didn’t initially go as planned. Billy had planned a hot air balloon ride for the first weekend of November 2021, but it was too windy to fly. Quite the setup that would’ve been. But instead, another perfectly well-thought off proposal was waiting for Emily. They did a winery tour up the King Valley instead, hired some e-bikes, and went to Billy's brother-in-law's house where he had planned a scavenger hunt for Emily. The final clue led her down the vines between aisle 35 & 36, where she found a picnic blanket, cushions, and a cheese platter set up with Billy on one knee, asking her to marry him.
Fast forward to their wedding day, the twists and turns of their journey couldn’t have prevented this lovely match from finally being one. And they have their team of legends who made their big day as magical as it was to thank for including Two Hearts Wedding Films Australia as their videographer, Collective Entertainment as the DJ, Karen Hogan from River Rose Foods for their cake, and Kimberley Blair for Emily's wedding band.
Emily and Billy's wedding at Dromana Estate was a beautiful celebration of their love, with every detail coming together perfectly to create a day they will never forget.
