Imogen & Mark’s Charming Countryside Wedding at Tanglewood Estate

On the 29th of March, Imogen and Mark brought their romantic vision to life with a wedding that was equal parts elegance and countryside charm, nestled within the rustic beauty of Tanglewood Estate. Blending a French provincial aesthetic with a soft cottage countryside vibe, their celebration unfolded like a timeless love story, with delicate blue accents weaving their way through every thoughtful detail.

The day began with both the bride and groom preparing in style. Imogen embodied effortless sophistication in a stunning gown by Eva Lendel, sourced from the elegant Raffael Eciuca Bridal. Her bridal glow was enhanced by the masterful hands of Asha Louise and hair artist Eleganica Makeup & Hair, while her bridesmaids looked equally radiant with the help of Blanca Beauty and custom earrings by My Murphy. Meanwhile, Mark cut a dashing figure in a suit from Ferrari Formalwear and Bridal, his look echoing the refined yet relaxed energy that flowed through the entire day.

With the sun casting a soft golden light over the Mornington Peninsula, the ceremony took place under the towering gums of Tanglewood Estate. Celebrant Bemine Celebrations delivered a heartwarming and deeply personal service as guests wiped away tears and smiled through laughter. The floral arrangements by Flower Girls & Co. created an ethereal backdrop that felt as though it had bloomed straight from the surrounding countryside, while live music from Hey Jack Co. filled the air with emotion and elegance. The seamless coordination by Ashlea Young ensured that every moment was perfectly timed and gently orchestrated.

As the sun dipped low and the sky turned a dusky pink, the celebration continued into the evening with a beautifully styled reception on the estate. Guests were welcomed with a custom linen sign by Claire Rose Studios, a soft touch that hinted at the thoughtfulness behind every detail. The food, catered by Finesse Catering Group, was nothing short of exquisite, and the delicious cake by Miss Ladybird Cakes was a sweet masterpiece that matched the couple’s aesthetic perfectly. DJ Charlzi set the tone for the night with a playlist that kept guests dancing and spirits high.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was Imogen and Mark’s first dance. Elegantly choreographed thanks to lessons from Emily Kate Whittaker, the dance was a perfect mix of grace and sentiment—an emotional highlight that encapsulated their journey from swipe right to soulmates.

Their love story began with a digital spark—yes, they met on Tinder in June 2016. As Imogen puts it, she still doesn’t know how Mark’s "super lame" pick-up line worked, but it did. Their first date turned into one of those marathon evenings: drinks, dinner, ice cream, and a movie. A longest-first-date-ever kind of night that neither wanted to end—and now, nearly nine years later, they’ve made it official.

Their engagement story, set in Noosa during a family holiday, is as sweet as it is cinematic. While Imogen suspected something was in the air—especially after being told not to touch a certain backpack—she couldn’t have predicted how beautifully Mark would propose. Overlooking the beach at a romantic dinner at Sails, a dessert menu turned out to be a timeline of their relationship milestones. As their song began to play, Mark got down on one knee. There were tears (lots of them), laughter, and a resounding “yes.” Mark, ever the improviser, had only finalized the plans a few days earlier, relying on the goodwill of the restaurant staff and a little luck. It was heartfelt, genuine, and absolutely perfect.

When asked what they looked forward to most on the day, Imogen and Mark shared what really matters—finally marrying each other, celebrating with their closest friends and family, and honouring the family they’ve already built together. It wasn’t just a party, it was a unifying moment that reflected years of love, growth, and shared memories.

For other couples planning their big day, Imogen and Mark offer some tried-and-true advice: once you’re engaged, lock in your priority vendors early. They booked most of their major suppliers about a year and a half ahead of time, allowing them to enjoy the lead-up without last-minute stress. And if budget allows, hiring a wedding coordinator is well worth it—though in their case, smart planning and spreading out tasks helped make the process manageable and meaningful.

From beginning to end, Imogen and Mark’s wedding was a gentle, joyful celebration of love, family, and the kind of beautiful planning that makes a day feel utterly effortless. It was a true countryside dream, made all the more magical by the authenticity of two people who are clearly meant to be.
