Jess & Damian's Enchanting Wedding at The Farm Yarra Valley

A definite stands out shoots for April was Jess and Damian's enchanting wedding. The couple chose a traditional theme for their big day but added a touch of something different to make it their own.

On the day of the wedding, Damian prepared at the couple's home. He looked dashing in a classic black and white suit designed by YSG Tailors. Meanwhile, Jess prepped with her bridesmaids at Damien's parent's home. She stunned as she wore her elegant dress designed by Lucidi Bella Design with makeup and hair style by Tonic Makeup & Hair, and Oomph Hairology.

When asked about what they were most looking forward to on the day, Jess said she couldn't wait to walk down the aisle and see Damian's reaction. And indeed, she the bride and groom bloomed with happiness as they exchanged their vows at The Farm Yarra Valley, with Kahani Celebrant officiating the heart-warming ceremony. The beautiful venue provided a stunning backdrop for the couple's I Dos.

Damian, on the other hand, was eagerly anticipating the party at the reception at Yarra Valley which became such an epic treat thanks to the other vendors who made their special day possible. The Petal Edition provided the floral arrangements, while White Sky Films captured the day on video. JJS Tunes provided live music for the celebration.

Jess and Damian's love story began after a bit of banter on Hinge, a popular dating app. They met for their first date at Whiteheart Lane Bar, where they had good conversation but didn't hit it off right away. But after a day, Jess messaged Damian, and they arranged a second date. It was at this second date, while sitting on a swing, that they really hit it off.

The couple spent six months together before the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, they enjoyed going on trips to Torquay for Damian to surf, cooking meals together, and meeting each other's families.

When prompted about how their proposal went down, it was a real romantic story. Damian proposed to Jess by recreating their second date. They visited the rooftop emerald peacock bar, had dinner at a cheap Japanese restaurant near Melbourne Central, and then went to an underground bar close by. At Storyville Bar, which was also the location of their second date, Damian dropped to one knee and proposed to Jess while sitting on the swing they had talked about during their first date.
