Sam & Jess: A Romantic Rustic Wedding at Inglewood Estate

Sam & Jess’s rustic wedding at Inglewood Estate was a breathtaking celebration of love, nature, and heartfelt moments, set against the stunning backdrop of native florals and towering gum trees.
Sam and Jess’s wedding at Inglewood Estate was a breathtaking celebration of love, laughter, and rustic romance. With a deep appreciation for nature and a love for the charm of the Australian landscape, the couple knew they had found the perfect venue the moment Jess teared up in the Chapel gardens. They fully embraced their natural surroundings, opting for native florals, lush greenery, and an atmosphere filled with love and good times. Their vision of a wedding among the gum trees came to life beautifully on March 14.
The day began with both the bride and groom preparing in style. Jess radiated elegance in a stunning Evie Young Bridal gown, which she found at Luv Bridal. Her timeless beauty was enhanced by the artistry of Bridal by Nicole Kene, who created a flawless makeup look, and Sharon Galloh MUA, who styled her hair to perfection. Sam complemented her perfectly, exuding classic sophistication in a tailored Mickey Blue Mornington suit. As the couple prepared separately, the anticipation grew, leading to one of the most emotional moments of the day—their first look. This intimate hour was filled with goosebumps as Sam and Jess saw each other for the first time, a moment of pure magic before they officially became husband and wife.
Their ceremony at the Chapel Gardens of Inglewood Estate was nothing short of heartwarming. Officiated by the lovely Jorgia Brown, the ceremony was a deeply personal reflection of their 14-year journey together. The Chapel, adorned with stunning native floral arrangements by Tully’s Corner, created a romantic yet rustic setting as they exchanged vows. The moment they had been waiting for—finally hearing the words "husband and wife"—was as emotional as it was joyful, marking the beginning of the next chapter in their love story.
As the sun set, the celebration continued with a lively reception at Inglewood Estate's Barn. Guests indulged in a delicious wedding cake crafted by Sammies Sweets & Co. while the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. DJ Spinning Disc Entertainment kept the dance floor alive, and content creator Jimi Jean Social captured every heartfelt and candid moment of the night. One of the most unforgettable highlights was Sam and Jess’s first dance—a beautifully choreographed routine made possible by their lessons at Peninsula Wedding Dance. The elegance and grace of their dance set the perfect tone for an evening filled with joy, laughter, and endless celebration.
Sam and Jess’s love story began in the late 2000s at a pub in regional WA, where they both worked. Sam walked in and got the job, and Jess's heart followed closely after. While they don’t remember their official first date, they distinctly recall crushing on each other at a British India gig at their favorite pub in Bunbury. Good music, jam jars, and the best company—it was a perfect combination then and remains a principle they live by to this day.
Their engagement was just as special, capturing the essence of their journey together. During the COVID lockdowns, with Jess heavily pregnant with their first baby, Sam orchestrated a sweet surprise. Under the guise of taking maternity photos, they walked to their local park in Aspendale, where maternity pictures quickly turned into engagement photos. The images encapsulated their lockdown experience perfectly, featuring their dog Tilly, Jess’s baby bump, and Sam’s unforgettable frosted tips.
Reflecting on their wedding planning journey, Sam and Jess have one key piece of advice for other couples: to-do lists and spreadsheets! Organization is key to ensuring a smooth and stress-free wedding experience. Their day at Inglewood Estate was everything they had dreamed of and more—a perfect celebration of their love, surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of nature. Here’s to a lifetime of love and adventure for this incredible couple!
